Hi, last night whilst returning home and pulling into the drive there was a slight whine coming from the engine bay. The whine return this morning. Its only noticeable between 1,000 - 2,000 revs. Noticeable whilst accelerating and slowing. no noise whilst in neutral and coasting. If revved whilst in neutral it appears. I understand that this system constantly monitors battery state of charge and that it will not function below 72% SOC. Hi all, my 09 fiesta 1.6 tdci decided not to start the other day completely out the blue, flashing up on the dash is the cog symbol with a '!' in the middle of it, aa couldn't do much apart from find there's fuel going to the high pressure pump but not to the injectors, I think it may be the pressure solenoid on the high pressure pump but I'm Hi, you cant get the pipes wrong as there sized and only fit where they came off. you will have air in system still, try cracking open 2 fuel injector pipes a little then turn engine over untill air and diesel starts coming out of injectors, turn engine off, tighten injectors back up and should start.. may take some turning over still though so you may need a jump off another battery. Hi there , Ok if the engine is a 1.6 diesel TDCI then the relay will be the issue this is a common occurance this why Thr broadcast message was released by for advising a more robust /modified relay be fitted.
